Notes: Interesting account, very well illustrated, translated from the French by John Peto. As well as religious buildings, there is a good deal of discussion of contemporary structures: hospitals, opera houses, dwellings etc. Narjoux was an official architect to the City of Paris and an associate of Viollet-le-Duc.
