Description: 696pp in total, many hundreds of engraved illustrations. Gilt lettered and decorated green cloth, 28x21. Both volumes tightly bound with slightly tanned pages, covers in good condition. Vol 1 ex LCC library with stamp on title page, frontis professionally reattached and with some pencil marks. Vol 2 with owner's signature on title page. A nice set.
Notes: Excellent copies of the most comprehensive and sought-after of the MacFarlane catalogues, entirely devoted to architectural decorative detail, including finials, railings, gates, guard posts, staircases, balconies, fountains, baths, columns, lamps and brackets, in all some 22 sections.
