Notes: German language version of the famous Warsaw Reconstruction Plan. The city had been deliberately razed late in the War. Careful recreation of many old features of the pre-war city was a notable feature of the Plan. Bierut, the nominal author, was President of Poland. The 1955 realisations were typical grand communist-era architecture-actually quite impressive and nicely drawn. The Plan was actually prepared by Stanislaw JANKOWSKI.
