Notes: This German work is the best source on British domestic architecture of the late Victorian and Edwardian period, particularly the arts and crafts architects, including Shaw, Voysey, Mackintosh, Baillie Scott and others. Muthesius was cultural attaché at the German embassy in London and went on to be a founder of the Deutsche Werkbund in 1907.
