Cover scuffed and damp stain top of rear cover affecting rear end papers, not too bad. Inner hinge paper crackedat top. Good solid copy with lovely bright contents.
Notes: The first two sections of this remarkable work cover the general theory of Hennebique's methods and descriptions of various tests on it eg fire-resistance, durability etc. The third and by far the longest section is an outstanding photographic record of buildings constructed by the Hennebique method. Most of these are from the UK and include some famous buildings and structures, such as Royal Liver Building, Liverpool, Caxton House, London, the Weaver Mill, Swansea (the first reinforced concrete building in the UK). London Underground structures and much else.
